New Forest National Park
10-min drive — 220 square miles of ancient woodland, heathland, and free-roaming ponies. The cabin sits right on the edge of the park boundary.
Sandy Balls Holiday Village
On-site — 120 acres of woods and parkland on the banks of the River Avon. The estate was bought by the Westlake family in 1919; the first holiday huts went up in 1934, and Away Resorts has run it since 2017.
Breamore House & Countryside Museum
A beautiful Elizabethan manor with gardens and a working countryside museum
Hatchet Pond
The largest natural pond in the New Forest — perfect for a scenic walk or picnic

At Sandy Balls Leisure Centre. Free for the whole party with a Guest Pass, or pay-per-entry without one (rates set by Sandy Balls — check on arrival). Collect wristbands at the centre.
Sauna
At Sandy Balls Leisure Centre — chargeable. Ask at the leisure centre on arrival.
Hot tub on the deck (optional)
Built into the deck and kept decommissioned by default. Available as an opt-in extra for stays of 3+ nights: £150 commissioning + £25 energy surcharge added to your booking. We arrange the whole thing with Sandy Balls — just tick the box at checkout.
Activities — archery, alpaca walks & more
One Sandy Balls Guest Pass covers your whole booking party (not per person) for pool and gym access. On-site activities (archery, alpaca walks, forest laser tag, bushcraft school, cycle hire) require a pass to book, then carry their own per-session fee paid on the day. Call Guest Services on 01425 651225 and quote Lodge 240 to book.
Aubrey's Forest Kitchen
Sandy Balls' on-park restaurant — artisan pizzas, chargrilled steaks and pasta in a relaxed woodland setting. Dog-friendly.
The Woodside Inn
The on-park pub — quiz nights, live acts and weekend entertainment. Dog-friendly.
Catch 22 fish & chips
Sandy Balls' fish and chip outlet — perfect for a takeaway evening at the cabin.
Acorn Place shop & deli
On-park grocery shop with a deli counter, Starbucks coffee and freshly baked cakes — saves a trip to Fordingbridge for the basics.
The Retreat spa
Aromatherapy, hot-stone massage, facials and manicures. 16+, booking required (sandyballsbeautytherapy@awayresorts.co.uk).
Bluebells and Brambles adventure playground
Sandy Balls' main adventure playground (ages 3+), with a separate soft play area for under-3s.

Fordingbridge, Hampshire. We'll send you the exact address and arrival instructions after booking. Easy to find — sat nav friendly.
🚂 By train
Nearest stations are Salisbury (40 min drive) and Bournemouth (40 min drive). We can recommend local taxi firms.
✈️ By air
Southampton Airport is 45 minutes away. London Heathrow is around 90 minutes. Car hire is recommended.
